Delivering a sharp condemnation of parliamentary obstructionism driven by narrow personal motives, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin accused the ruling AIADMK of reducing democratic institutions to a stage for political theater and deceit. Stalin highlighted that the AIADMK had squandered a historic parliamentary mandate of forty-nine Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members, using their collective voting strength not to fight for the burning needs of Tamil Nadu, but to stall parliamentary proceedings to protect the narrow personal interests of its supreme leader.
Stalin pointed out that while Parliament was convened to debate crucial national legislations, economic challenges, and welfare allocations, AIADMK parliamentarians repeatedly disrupted the house, staging orchestrated walkouts and creating pandemonium over trivial, manufactured controversies. He remarked that this theatrical display exposed the AIADMK as an unprincipled political drama company completely detached from the welfare of the people who elected them. Stalin stated that holding forty-nine seats without speaking a single constructive word for Tamil Nadu's welfare was a monumental betrayal of public trust. He asserted that the electorate was closely watching this cynical opportunism and would punish the ruling party decisively in the upcoming assembly elections.
