Addressing a massive gathering of agriculturists, entrepreneurs, and students in western Tamil Nadu, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin delivered a forceful commitment to resolve long-standing developmental bottlenecks ignored by the AIADMK regime. Stalin condemned the ruling government for dragging its feet on the vital Avinashi-Athikadavu groundwater recharge scheme, which was conceived to replenish hundreds of parched irrigation tanks, recharge depleting water tables, and quench drinking water distress across Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode districts. He pledged that an incoming DMK government would execute the project on top priority with dedicated budget allocations.
Stalin also championed the survival of micro, small, and medium enterprises, which formed the industrial backbone of the Kongu region but were crippled by crippling power cuts and bureaucratic inertia under AIADMK rule. He promised uninterrupted industrial power, concessional loans, and single-window clearances to restore factory production. Addressing the deep anxieties of educated youth and struggling parents, Stalin reiterated the DMK's historic election pledge to completely waive outstanding educational loans borrowed by students from cooperative and commercial banks. He declared that alleviating student debt and reviving regional agriculture were sacred duties that the DMK would execute without compromise.
