Campaigning extensively in Kunnam assembly constituency, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin delivered a scathing indictment of the AIADMK government's complete administrative bankruptcy and self-serving political priorities. Recalling the catastrophic mismanagement of the 2015 floods, Stalin pointed out how Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and her ministers remained entirely detached from citizens' agony, refusing to step out of their homes while vast tracts of the state were submerged underwater. Instead of deploying emergency disaster relief machinery, ruling party cadres spent their energy violently intercepting private relief consignments to paste party stickers on relief packets.

Stalin contrasted this disgraceful conduct with the relentless, compassionate grassroots rescue operations carried out by DMK volunteers, youth groups, and ordinary civil society across flood-affected zones. He observed that the ruling regime had converted public disaster relief into a shameless publicity campaign while leaving flood victims without food, drinking water, or financial aid. Stalin outlined the DMK's proactive disaster management agenda, which included scientific flood control schemes, modernized desilting of irrigation reservoirs, and permanent rehabilitation for vulnerable families. He urged Kunnam voters to punish the heartless AIADMK administration and elect the DMK alliance for responsible governance.
