Touring six key assembly constituencies across Villupuram district, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin presented a dedicated regional developmental agenda to revive the agrarian and industrial prospects of the backward district. Speaking to large crowds of farmers, youth, and small entrepreneurs, Stalin criticized the ruling AIADMK for turning a blind eye to Villupuram's economic stagnation. He focused on the prolonged closure of the prestigious SIPCOT industrial complex in Tindivanam, which was initiated during the previous DMK government to spur manufacturing investment and provide local employment for thousands of educated rural youth.
Stalin committed that an incoming DMK administration would immediately resolve pending administrative bottlenecks, provide subsidized land and infrastructure, and reopen the Tindivanam SIPCOT park to attract automotive, electronic, and engineering industries. He also unveiled plans to develop Villupuram's historical and natural heritage sites into vibrant eco-tourism corridors, boosting local hospitality and service businesses. For the district's sugarcane and groundnut cultivators, Stalin promised timely cooperative mill payments, enhanced procurement prices, and modernized drip irrigation subsidies. He urged the people of Villupuram to defeat the stagnant AIADMK regime and elect the DMK alliance to usher in equitable regional prosperity.
