Reaffirming the DMK's historic bond with government employees and school teachers, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin announced decisive policy commitments to restore administrative morale and economic dignity across Tamil Nadu's public sector workforce. Speaking at an election gathering, Stalin condemned the AIADMK regime for treating government employees with contempt, filing false cases against striking teachers, and ignoring legitimate representations regarding pay disparities and retirement security over five years. He highlighted that an unmotivated public service paralyzes the state's welfare machinery.
Stalin explicitly pledged that an incoming DMK government would scrap the contributory pension scheme and bring back the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) to guarantee lifelong post-retirement financial security for government staff. He also committed to establishing an expert committee to implement the recommendations of the upcoming Eighth Pay Commission swiftly and without pay anomalies. In addition, Stalin promised to regularize the services of temporary staff, contract workers, and noon-meal organizers, ensuring fair promotions and transparent transfer policies. He called upon government servants and teachers to support the DMK alliance to usher in an administration that honors their dedicated contributions to state development.
