Contrasting the DMK's transparent policy commitments with the unviable rhetoric of the AIADMK, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin affirmed that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam formulates only realistic, achievable pledges that can be implemented with complete administrative integrity. Addressing election rallies, Stalin pointed out that unlike the ruling party's history of making bombastic announcements before polls and immediately abandoning them, the DMK 2016 election manifesto was built on extensive grassroots consultations with workers, farmers, weavers, and entrepreneurs across all 234 assembly constituencies.
Stalin detailed practical measures to revive the state's lagging economy, promising to dismantle suffocating bureaucratic red tape, eliminate corruption in government approvals, and restore ease of doing business to attract domestic and foreign manufacturers. For traditional textile producers, he guaranteed reliable free power supply and raw material subsidies to rescue struggling handloom and powerloom weavers across major weaving clusters. For agriculturists, the DMK pledged comprehensive cooperative crop loan waivers, modern canal rejuvenation, and fair remunerative procurement prices. Stalin assured the public that the DMK represents accountable, transparent governance dedicated to inclusive socio-economic uplift, urging the electorate to vote decisively for democratic renewal.
