Holding the AIADMK leadership accountable for five years of broken commitments, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin addressed vibrant election gatherings in Coimbatore, challenging Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to explain the complete disappearance of her high-profile developmental promises. Stalin reminded the citizens of Kovai that the AIADMK had grandly promised a modern monorail transit system for the congested industrial city, the establishment of six integrated apparel parks, dedicated IT parks in every district, and the generation of twenty lakh employment opportunities across the state.
Stalin observed that not a single brick had been laid for the monorail or the apparel parks, while Coimbatore's iconic textile, foundry, and pump manufacturing industries suffered catastrophic setbacks due to persistent rolling power blackouts, arbitrary taxes, and infrastructural bottlenecks. Instead of ushering in new industries, the ruling regime drove investors away and left lakhs of qualified youth unemployed. Stalin affirmed that the DMK possessed both the political will and administrative capability to deliver modern mass transit, upgrade industrial infrastructure, ensure round-the-clock uninterrupted power supply, and generate high-value industrial jobs. He urged Coimbatore voters to decisively reject AIADMK's hollow promises.
