During a massive public campaign gathering in Virudhunagar, M.K. Stalin criticized the ruling party for intellectual bankruptcy following the delayed release of the AIADMK election manifesto. He pointed out that the document was virtually a copied version of the detailed DMK 2016 manifesto unveiled weeks earlier after extensive statewide public consultations. Key progressive welfare initiatives, debt relief measures for struggling farmers, educational incentives, and industrial revival schemes conceived by the DMK were hurriedly imitated by the ruling party without authentic planning or administrative conviction.
Stalin remarked that after five years of governance apathy and neglect of citizens' needs, the AIADMK leadership possessed neither an independent vision nor genuine understanding of people’s hardships. He highlighted that while the DMK painstakingly gathered inputs from students, trade unions, weavers, and agriculturists across all 234 constituencies, the ruling establishment operated in isolation until election panic set in. Stalin assured the electorate that voters could clearly distinguish between the original architects of social justice policies and opportunists attempting superficial imitation. He affirmed that only the DMK possessed the political credibility and administrative determination to turn progressive manifesto promises into tangible reality.
