DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin led an inspiring election campaign across Tiruvarur assembly constituency, the historic home borough and legislative seat of DMK president Muthamizharignar Kalaignar. Addressing thousands of farmers and townspeople, Stalin highlighted the unmatched dedication and humility of ninety-two-year-old Kalaignar, who continued to tour dusty rural roads in a modified campaign van to meet ordinary citizens face-to-face, sharply contrasting his grassroots connect with Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's aloof helicopter tours.
Stalin pointed out that while Kalaignar braved scorching summer heat to travel through every village, listening to weavers, agriculturalists, and women, the AIADMK leader flew from one air-conditioned helipad to another, addressing distant rallies from heavily barricaded podiums without interacting with a single voter. Stalin recalled the landmark developmental projects brought to Tiruvarur by Kalaignar, including the Central University of Tamil Nadu, the Government Medical College and Hospital, upgraded collectorate complexes, and irrigation canal modernization schemes. He stressed that genuine democratic leadership is grounded in constant companionship with the working people, not in aristocratic isolation.
Stalin urged Tiruvarur voters to re-elect DMK president Muthamizharignar Kalaignar with an overwhelming, record-breaking victory margin.
