In a final impassioned appeal on the eve of the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin urged citizens across the state to actively persuade their family members, friends, and neighbors to vote for the DMK alliance to usher in a progressive, accountable, and welfare-oriented government. Concluding his exhaustive statewide Namakku Naame campaign tour, which covered all two hundred and thirty-four constituencies, Stalin emphasized that this election was a defining turning point for the state's future.

Stalin pointed out that five years of AIADMK governance had left Tamil Nadu paralyzed by industrial stagnation, mounting public debt, widespread rural unemployment, and catastrophic administrative failures, notably during the December 2015 Chennai floods. In contrast, the DMK manifesto presented practical, visionary solutions, including immediate farm loan waivers, enactment of total liquor prohibition, job creation through industrial corridors, and restoration of transparent, accessible governance. He requested voters to mobilize their local communities to reject empty promises and money distribution, choosing instead the proven administrative track record and progressive vision of the DMK.

Stalin affirmed that the DMK is fully prepared to deliver clean, transparent, and empathetic governance dedicated to all people.
