DMK treasurer and Leader of Opposition M.K. Stalin paid rich tributes to venerable statesman and freedom fighter Kanniyathirkuriya Quaid-e-Millath M. Muhammad Ismail on his 121st birth anniversary. Leading party cadres in paying respects at Quaid-e-Millath's memorial at Triplicane Big Mosque in Chennai, Stalin called upon all citizens to take a solemn pledge to follow the exemplary statesman's path of mutual respect, communal harmony, and inclusive brotherhood.

Stalin recalled that Quaid-e-Millath played an indispensable, historic role in India's Constituent Assembly, championing minority safeguards while forcefully advocating that Tamil be recognized as an official language of the Indian Union. He maintained an intimate ideological friendship with Perarignar Anna and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, forging an enduring secular alliance between the Indian Union Muslim League and the DMK. Stalin emphasized that at a critical time when sectarian friction and communal polarization threatened the secular fabric of the nation, Quaid-e-Millath's message of dignified political conduct, democratic dialogue, and religious amity served as an essential moral beacon.

Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK will persistently protect constitutional minority rights and preserve the pluralistic, secular traditions of Tamil society.
