DMK treasurer and Leader of Opposition M.K. Stalin conveyed heartfelt gratitude to farmers' organizations, trade bodies, transport unions, civil society groups, and all political parties except the ruling AIADMK for making the state-wide dawn-to-dusk bandh an unprecedented, resounding success. He stated that the total shutdown across Tamil Nadu sent an unequivocal message to the Union government regarding the collective resolve of the Tamil people on the Cauvery water dispute.

Commercial establishments, private transport, schools, and markets remained completely shut down across Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, and delta districts in solidarity with struggling agriculturists. Stalin condemned the AIADMK administration for deliberately boycotting the unified movement and operating government buses to dilute the shutdown instead of standing with the state's farming community. He noted that the spontaneous participation of millions of citizens proved that the struggle for Cauvery was not a mere partisan agitation, but a vital fight for Tamil Nadu's economic survival and regional dignity. Stalin commended all democratic forces for demonstrating exemplary unity despite police intimidation and preemptive arrests.

Stalin affirmed that the DMK will continue to coordinate with all political and agricultural organizations to secure permanent riparian justice.
