DMK treasurer and Leader of Opposition M.K. Stalin expressed profound shock and deep indignation over the forensic post-mortem report confirming that Dr. Saravanan Ganesan, a young Tamil postgraduate medical student at AIIMS New Delhi, was murdered through the administration of a lethal chemical injection. He stated that the scientific revelation had exposed the falsehood of initial suicide claims and highlighted serious safety concerns for students from southern states in Delhi.

Dr. Saravanan, who secured an AIIMS seat purely on merit without coaching, was discovered dead in his Gautam Nagar residence under unexplained circumstances. The detailed autopsy findings revealed puncture marks on his right forearm and the presence of potassium chloride and succinylcholine, dangerous muscle relaxants accessible only to specialized medical personnel.
