DMK leader M.K. Stalin visited Puducherry on November 13, 2016, conducting an energetic campaign tour across the Nellithope assembly constituency to canvass votes for the secular alliance candidate, Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy, contesting on the Congress party's Hand symbol.
Addressing large gatherings of enthusiastic residents, traders, and alliance cadres along major thoroughfares, Stalin highlighted the enduring political friendship between the DMK and the Congress, forged in shared ideological principles of democratic secularism, social justice, and federal autonomy. He praised Chief Minister Narayanasamy's administrative maturity, extensive parliamentary experience, and steadfast commitment to advancing welfare programs for the people of Puducherry. Stalin noted that electing Narayanasamy with an overwhelming majority was essential to ensure stable governance and rapid economic development across the Union Territory.
The DMK treasurer cautioned voters against opportunistic political combinations seeking to destabilize progressive welfare policies. He expressed deep confidence that the discerning electorate of Nellithope would reaffirm their trust in the ruling secular alliance. Stalin concluded his address by urging every voter to cast their decisive ballot for the Hand symbol to secure inclusive governance and uninterrupted regional prosperity.
