Editorial context

DMK leader M.K. Stalin made a solemn public commitment on January 4, 2017, upon being formally appointed as the Working President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Stalin declared that he would never regard the elevated party position as mere ornamental power or prestige, but rather as an enormous responsibility to serve the people of Tamil Nadu and strengthen party principles every single day.

Stalin reflected on his decades-long journey within the movement, starting as an ordinary teenage volunteer putting up posters, undergoing imprisonment under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act during the Emergency, and serving in diverse legislative and administrative capacities. He affirmed that this lifelong apprenticeship instilled in him an abiding commitment to the party's foundational ideals of social justice, state autonomy, and secular democracy.

The newly appointed Working President pledged to redouble his grassroots engagement, travel across districts, and listen attentively to public grievances. Stalin promised to carry forward the glorious legacy of Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar Karunanidhi with tireless dedication. He rallied party cadres to work with unflagging enthusiasm, collective discipline, and moral resolve to restore accountable, compassionate governance across Tamil Nadu.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
