DMK working president M.K. Stalin celebrated the historic scale and spirit of the youth-led Jallikattu movement on January 21, 2017, proclaiming that the spontaneous mobilization would forever be recorded in history as the "Marina Revolution." Stalin observed that hundreds of thousands of college students, IT professionals, rural youth, and women had converged along Chennai's coastline and across districts in an extraordinary, peaceful display of democratic determination.

Stalin underscored that the uprising was remarkable for its non-violent ethos, horizontal organization, and complete transcendence of caste, religious, and political affiliations. Youth had risen unitedly to protect ancient Tamil heritage, defend indigenous cattle preservation, and resist external cultural imposition. The discipline, mutual assistance, and environmental consciousness displayed by the gathered millions earned global admiration, presenting a shining example of modern youth civic participation.

The opposition leader affirmed that the energy and clarity demonstrated by the younger generation provided immense hope for Tamil Nadu's democratic future. Stalin declared that this massive awakening demonstrated the indomitable spirit of Tamil cultural pride. He assured the youth that the DMK stood steadfastly in solidarity with their legitimate struggle until complete legislative victory was secured.
