DMK working president M.K. Stalin resolved on February 19, 2017, that the DMK will embark on an extensive public outreach campaign across Tamil Nadu to explain the full scale of atrocities, procedural violations, and administrative chaos that transpired during the assembly's black day on February 18. Stalin affirmed that the party's agitation would not cease until the puppet government operating at the behest of convicted AIADMK leaders is decisively removed from office and genuine representative democracy is reestablished across the state.

Stalin recounted that the legislative assembly, which should serve as the temple of people's rights, was transformed into a fortress of authoritarian high-handedness where elected opposition legislators were physically assaulted and forcibly dragged out by security personnel. The administration sought to bury these grave misdeeds through media censorship and selective news releases, but the DMK is determined to take the facts directly to the people through public meetings, pamphlets, and neighborhood assemblies. The sovereign public has a fundamental right to know how their democracy was compromised.

The opposition leader emphasized that truth and democratic accountability cannot be silenced by state power. He pledged that the DMK will persistently champion the cause of authentic constitutional governance.
