DMK working president M.K. Stalin announced on March 18, 2017, that the formal release function for the comprehensive historical book 'DMK History', authored by renowned Dravidian researcher K. Thirunavukkarasu, will take place on March 25, 2017, at Kalaignar Arangam within Anna Arivalayam in Chennai. Stalin invited party cadres, literary figures, progressive intellectuals, and historical researchers to attend the event celebrating the foundational records of the Dravidian movement.

Stalin noted that the work meticulously captures the ideological roots, mass mobilizations, and legislative triumphs of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam under the visionary leadership of Perarignar Anna and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi. He highlighted that comprehensive historical accounts are vital for sustaining ideological clarity and educating upcoming generations of social justice activists about the immense struggles that dismantled orthodox social hierarchies across Tamil Nadu.

The opposition leader emphasized that the party headquarters continues to serve as an intellectual fountainhead for Dravidian scholarship, rationalist discourse, and democratic literature.
