DMK working president M.K. Stalin submitted a formal request to Union Minister of State for Communications Manoj Sinha on March 24, 2017, urging an immediate, impartial investigation into serious irregularities in the Postal Department's recruitment examination for Postman and Mail Guard positions. Stalin emphasized that thousands of qualified, hardworking youth from Tamil Nadu who appeared for the examination were left aggrieved following reports of massive malpractice, question paper leaks, and non-local candidate manipulation.

Stalin observed that candidates from northern states who possessed zero proficiency in the Tamil language had secured remarkably high scores in regional language examination centers, raising credible suspicions of organized malfeasance. Such irregularities, he argued, directly undermine fair competition, deprive deserving local aspirants of legitimate public employment opportunities, and jeopardize administrative efficiency in rural postal circles where local communication is vital. Stalin stressed that public examination systems must maintain flawless transparency and institutional credibility.

The opposition leader demanded that central postal authorities cancel compromised test sessions, institute a thorough judicial inquiry, and ensure justice for aspiring youth across Tamil Nadu. He reiterated that the DMK will persistently defend regional employment rights against unfair recruitment procedures.
