Stalin pointed out that despite extensive surveillance machinery and statutory powers, the poll watchdog allowed ruling party factions to distribute money openly throughout the constituency. This administrative failure, he warned, strikes at the heart of electoral justice.

Stalin observed that citizens across Tamil Nadu expected firm administrative vigilance following widespread reports of electoral bribery. Instead, constitutional mechanisms proved ineffective in restraining unlawful practices orchestrated by ministers and ruling party operatives. The opposition leader emphasized that elections lose moral sanctity when regulatory bodies fail to act proactively against money power. He noted that democracy thrives on equal opportunity, not auctioning citizen votes.

The DMK leader insisted that regulatory bodies must hold perpetrators accountable rather than remaining passive spectators.
