DMK working president and Kolathur Member of Legislative Assembly M.K. Stalin organized a large-scale community welfare distribution event in his constituency on the evening of June 21, 2017, ahead of the sacred festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. Interacting directly with thousands of underprivileged families, senior citizens, and women, Stalin distributed food grains, clothing, and essential provisions, while conveying heartfelt festive greetings to the Muslim community and local residents.

Stalin emphasized that the essence of Ramadan lies in self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and sharing resources with the vulnerable members of society. In keeping with this spirit, he noted that public representatives must remain intimately connected to the everyday struggles of their constituents, offering tangible assistance during times of economic distress and high inflation.
