DMK working president M.K. Stalin demanded an immediate Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry on August 28, 2017, into widespread fraudulent admissions in Tamil Nadu medical colleges through fake dual nativity certificates. Stalin pointed out that hundreds of students from other states had illegally secured government medical seats reserved for Tamil Nadu domiciles by producing forged residence documents. He warned that this massive systemic racket bore alarming similarities to the notorious Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh and severely compromised the future of honest local aspirants.

Stalin emphasized that the collusion of revenue officials, selection committee authorities, and commercial coaching rackets in orchestrating this fraud had deprived genuine rural and Tamil-medium students of their hard-earned seats. The state administration failed to conduct rigorous document verification during counselling, demonstrating either gross incompetence or criminal complicity at the highest levels of the Health Department. The legitimate rights of Tamil Nadu students could not be compromised through fraudulent administrative negligence.

The DMK leader demanded the cancellation of all fraudulent admissions and immediate criminal prosecution of the racketeers. He insisted that only an independent CBI investigation could expose the full nexus of corruption and safeguard educational integrity.
