Expressing profound grief over the horrific incident where a laborer and his kin immolated themselves due to relentless harassment by illegal money lenders, Stalin condemned administrative callousness. He pointed out that local authorities and police officers repeatedly ignored the victim's formal petitions, leaving the desperate family entirely unprotected against usurious extortionists.

Stalin asserted that the tragedy exposed a complete collapse of grassroots grievance redressal mechanisms and law enforcement across Tamil Nadu. The failure of district officials to act on repeated complaints demonstrated criminal negligence. He urged the government to enforce the Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act with utmost stringency, track down predatory financiers, and initiate punitive administrative proceedings against negligent police officers.

The DMK leader called for substantial financial compensation and rehabilitation support for surviving relatives. He affirmed that the state must build accessible institutional credit mechanisms to shield vulnerable workers from predatory micro-lending networks.
