DMK working president M.K. Stalin delivered a scathing indictment of the AIADMK administration on January 11, 2018, pointing out that since the 2016 assembly elections, Tamil Nadu had witnessed three separate Governor's addresses and three different Chief Ministers due to relentless internal factional turmoil. Stalin argued that despite the changing occupants of the Chief Minister's chair, the state suffered total policy paralysis, administrative decay, and rampant institutional corruption that effectively set Tamil Nadu's developmental progress back by twenty years.
Stalin emphasized that crucial developmental parameters—including industrial investment inflows, job creation for youth, agricultural water security, and fiscal deficit management—had plummeted under AIADMK rule. Instead of governing, state ministers remained preoccupied with political self-preservation, intra-party feuds, and appeasing the central government at the expense of regional interests. He noted that the public was exhausted by administrative dysfunction.
The DMK leader declared that Tamil Nadu deserved visionary, accountable governance that champions public welfare and economic growth. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently struggle inside the legislative assembly and across democratic platforms to rescue the state from stagnation and restore purposeful leadership. Stalin pledged relentless legislative vigilance for public progress.
