I have written to @DrJitendraSingh regarding the injustice meted out to lakhs of students from Tamil Nadu due to discriminatory procedure in National Level Examinations conducted by SSC. I have requested him to initiate action to allow the exam to be written in Tamil as well. https://t.co/XHKvORkYzC

DMK working president M.K. Stalin wrote a formal representation to Union Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh on January 19, 2018, highlighting the systemic injustice faced by lakhs of aspirants from Tamil Nadu in national-level examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. Stalin pointed out that restricting question papers solely to English and Hindi discriminates against candidates educated in regional languages, effectively denying them an equitable opportunity to secure central government employment.
Stalin urged the Union Minister to initiate immediate procedural reforms allowing aspirants to write SSC competitive examinations in Tamil and other scheduled languages recognized under the Constitution of India. He argued that language should never become an artificial barrier to public recruitment in a multilingual federal nation. Providing equal linguistic access, he noted, aligns with constitutional guarantees of equal opportunity and non-discrimination in state employment.
The DMK leader emphasized that regional language parity is vital to preserve the inclusive character of central administrative services. He called upon the Centre to modernize its testing frameworks across all national recruiting boards. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will persistently champion linguistic equality and employment rights for Tamil youth. He pledged sustained advocacy.
