DMK working president M.K. Stalin announced on January 23, 2018, that he will conduct intensive direct consultations starting February 1 with party office-bearers across all organizational tiers, from village panchayat secretaries up to district secretaries. Stalin framed the initiative as a vital process to nourish the foundational grassroots roots of the DMK. He expressed readiness to receive unfiltered counsel and strategic feedback from local organizers who interact daily with the electorate.
Stalin emphasized that genuine political strength emanates from active village and ward units rather than top-down executive directives. By listening to grassroots cadres, the party leadership aimed to identify local developmental grievances, improve cadre coordination, and resolve operational bottlenecks. He expressed full confidence that these detailed review meetings would establish a solid foundation for resounding triumphs in upcoming mass agitations and electoral contests.
The DMK leader called upon local functionaries to present frank, constructive insights during the upcoming sessions at Anna Arivalayam. He reiterated that a cohesive, disciplined organization is crucial to countering the misgovernance of the ruling administration. Stalin affirmed that the DMK's grassroots strength remains its most formidable asset. He looked forward to robust interactions.
