DMK working president M.K. Stalin inaugurated an extensive grassroots organizational review initiative, titled Kala Aayvu, on February 1, 2018. Designed as a foundational assessment to ensure success in both popular public struggles and upcoming electoral contests, the field review was scheduled to run through March 22. Stalin explained that the program involves direct, detailed consultations with district, constituency, and local party functionaries across Tamil Nadu to assess organizational efficiency and address internal operational challenges.
Stalin emphasized that grassroots cadre feedback serves as the bedrock of effective political leadership and institutional renewal. He assured party workers that leadership decisions and corrective organizational measures will be implemented firmly based on findings gathered during these extensive field audits. By revitalizing party committees at the booth and village level, the DMK sought to create an energized, responsive cadre apparatus capable of mobilizing public support.
The DMK leader noted that disciplined organizational cohesion is necessary to hold the ruling dispensation accountable for anti-people policies. He urged office-bearers to present candid assessments and work cohesively. Stalin affirmed that the grassroots outreach will fortify the DMK into an unassailable political movement. He expressed full faith in grassroots cadres.
