Stalin delivered a stirring message on March 7, 2018, declaring that Dravidian icon Thanthai Periyar continues to stand as an insurmountable nightmare for reactionary forces seeking to dismantle social justice, rationalist consciousness, and equal human rights in Tamil Nadu. Stalin asserted that Tamil soil has once again delivered an unforgettable historic lesson to communal elements, proving that the egalitarian philosophy of self-respect is indelibly etched into the collective cultural identity of the Tamil people.
Stalin warned communal conspirators that the people of Tamil Nadu will never permit reactionary ideologues to realize their divisive fantasies. He declared that even in their wildest imaginations or private dreams, anti-social forces should banish the thought of removing or desecrating statues of Periyar. Stalin noted that every provocative attack on Periyar's legacy only serves to unify and rejuvenate progressive democratic resistance across all segments of regional society.
The DMK leader reaffirmed that the DMK will remain the frontline defender of Periyar's transformative rationalist ideals. Stalin vowed that the Dravidian movement will aggressively safeguard social reform, educational reservation, and human dignity against every regressive assault.
