#CauveryManagementBoard https://t.co/bQ7J9ohUeh

DMK working president M.K. Stalin issued a direct mandate on March 8, 2018, calling on the Tamil Nadu government delegation participating in the crucial inter-state consultative meeting in New Delhi to adopt a resolute, uncompromising stance. Stalin emphasized that the state's representatives must strictly adhere to the unanimous decision taken at the statewide all-party conclave, demanding the definitive constitution of the Cauvery Management Board within the six-week timeline stipulated by the Supreme Court of India.
Stalin pointed out that any hesitation, ambiguous phrasing, or bureaucratic concession by state officials would irreparably damage Tamil Nadu's legal standing and jeopardize seasonal crop cultivation in the delta. He urged the delegation to clearly convey that nothing short of a fully empowered statutory management board with operational authority over dams would be acceptable to the people of Tamil Nadu.
The DMK leader noted that seven crore citizens were watching the conduct of state negotiators in the national capital. He reaffirmed that the DMK will support firm governance action but will not tolerate diplomatic timidity. Stalin concluded that Tamil Nadu's collective riparian future depended entirely on maintaining steadfast adherence to constitutional justice.
