The Karunanidhi government conceptualized and enacted the Tamil Nadu Uniform System of School Education Act 2009 (Samacheer Kalvi) over the 2009-10 period. The policy dissolved the elitist commercial divisions between four separate school boards (State Board, Matriculation, Anglo-Indian, and Oriental), standardizing curricula and textbook quality across all social sectors.
கருணாநிதி அரசு 2009-10 காலகட்டத்தில் தமிழ்நாடு பள்ளிச் கல்விப் பொதுப் பாடத்திட்டச் சட்டத்தை (சமச்சீர் கல்வி) வடிவமைத்து இயற்றியது. இந்த கொள்கை நான்கு தனித்தனி பள்ளி வாரியங்களுக்கு (மாநில வாரியம், மெட்ரிகுலேஷன், ஆங்கிலோ-இந்தியன் மற்றும் ஓரியண்டல்) இடையே இருந்த உயரடுக்கு வணிகரீதியான பிரிவுகளை நீக்கி, அனைத்து சமூகப் பிரிவினருக்குமான பாடத்திட்டங்களையும் பாடப்புத்தகத் தரத்தையும் தரப்படுத்தியது.
