In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the DMK-led INDIA bloc won all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu, repeating the alliance's clean-sweep performance of 2019. The DMK won 22 seats individually with a vote share of about 26.93 per cent, while the BJP-led NDA failed to win a single seat in the state.
2024 மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில், திமுக தலைமையிலான இந்தியா கூட்டணி தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள அனைத்து 39 இடங்களையும் கைப்பற்றியது; 2019ஆம் ஆண்டின் கூட்டணியின் பெருவெற்றியை மீண்டும் நிகழ்த்தியது. திமுக தனித்து சுமார் 26.93 சதவீத வாக்கு வீதத்துடன் 22 இடங்களில் வென்றது; பாஜக தலைமையிலான தே.ஜ.கூ. மாநிலத்தில் ஒரு இடத்தைக்கூட வெல்லத் தவறியது.
Significance
The sweep cemented the DMK's electoral dominance in Tamil Nadu and gave the party a strong bloc of MPs in the INDIA alliance at the national level.
