In July 2025, the state government ordered the complete symbolic re-branding of all 2,739 state-run student boarding facilities. It systematically deleted narrow communal tags like Adi-Dravidar or BC/MBC Hostels, unifying them under the progressive umbrella title 'Social Justice Students Home'.
