Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme Launched

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme on 15 September 2022 in Madurai, providing free breakfast to primary-school children in government schools. Beginning with around 1.14 lakh students in 1,545 schools, it was expanded in August 2023 to all government primary schools statewide and later to government-aided schools.
